central tokyo has a huge bike scene. but, in the outskirts of tokyo, in the "bedtowns", in the 'burbs, there are also many blossoming bike communities. like in tachikawa. it's a fair trek from central tokyo (about 2-2.5 hours bike ride), but a few of the boys from setagaya made it out to tachikawa this last saturday for "faret cycle night".
expect to see the tachikawa riders at more of the central tokyo events. sweet, mellow kids.
